Impact strength and UV stability for glazing, guarding and roofing.
Polycarbonate is chosen where acrylic would crack. Its impact strength is what puts it into machine guarding, security glazing and anywhere a panel has to survive being hit, while co-extruded UV protection keeps outdoor installations from yellowing.
Solid sheet behaves like glazing; multiwall gives insulation and span at a fraction of the weight, which is why it dominates canopy and roofing work. Flame-retardant grades are available for projects that specify them — send the tender clause and we will confirm what can be supplied against it.
