HDPE / UHMWPE
Abrasion resistance and low friction for liners, wear pads and material-handling surfaces.
HDPE is the workhorse — chemically resistant, easy to fabricate and weld, and inexpensive enough to use in quantity. UHMWPE takes the same chemistry much further: extremely high abrasion resistance and a very low surface friction that stops bulk material sticking.
Both are common in material handling, where the job is to protect a steel structure from wear rather than to carry load. Food-contact grades are available; confirm the specific approval you need at enquiry.
